I recently had surgery done, I was very nervous as it was my first operation. Dr Kirkpatrick made me feel very comfortable about the procedure. She has done such a good job I can't thank her enough, she took great care of me and I couldn't ask for anyone better. So once again thank you Dr Kirkpatrick :)

Miss Kirkpatrick responded to a request from a colleague, for an urgent review of my case following an untoward absorption of gamma radiation in my breasts during a bone scan. Everything was found to be normal, but Miss Kirkpatrick's sympathetic approach was a great help on the day. The mammogram (the first I've ever had that didn't hurt!) and radiologist's assessment were done very quickly and, after a very thorough manual examination (including the chest wall), she was able to give me complete reassurance, which, after the previous 2 excruciatingly worrying weeks, was an absolute boon. The additional information she gave me that breast pain (from which I've suffered periodically for many years) was not usually an indicator for breast cancer was also very helpful to know. I would recommend her to anyone, for her kindness and obvious wish to allay one's fears, as much as for her obvious knowledge and skill. Thank you to both Miss Kirkpatrick and the other skilled and kindly staff working alongside her.

I saw Miss Kirkpatrick in clinic last week due to a lump I had discovered in my right breast. Thankfully it was nothing untoward. But the care I received was truly fast class! Miss Kirkpatrick was symptomatic and really listened to what I was describing, she was extremely thorough and I thought it was amazing that I received the results there and then as opposed to having an anxious wait. When we have fabulous Consultants like this on the NHS I truly wonder why people opt to go privately, the care is just superb and in my opinion first class.

I saw Dr Kirkpatrick as I have been suffering for many years from chronic breast pain, possibly caused by Costochondritis. When it is really bad I have been getting very anxious about more serious breast problems. Thankfully my mammogram was all clear but Dr Kirkpatrick was really thorough examining me and then reassuring me that the pain was benign. I would like to personally thank her and her lovely team at the Breast Care Centre at L&D for their care. Thank you for the reassurance, which sometimes in part is a great help on the road to recovery from these chronic conditions.

Dr Kath Kirkpatrick is empathetic and is organising my mastopexy surgery after one sided breast cancer mastectomy. I am so grateful to all the Luton and Dunstable team for the hard work they have put into helping me return to my 'almost' former self. Dr Kirkpatrick is friendly and caring and I feel safe in the knowledge that I'm being cared for by her and her team. A huge thank you also goes to my Consultant/Surgeon Ravichandran who helped me through Masectomy and ongoing treatment, understanding my concerns and needs and always being so supportive. I appreciate everything you, Dr Ah See and my Macmillan nurse Jan Chalkeley have done for me!
